Welcome to Goose Neck Estates!

If you're new to Goose Neck Estates, the Goose Neck Property Owner's Association (GNPOA) warmly welcomes you.

Ours was one of the first North Fork communities to offer its residents a private beach and docking rights. In early years, locals boasted access to the salt marshes at Goose Creek for duck hunting. Today, you don't see much duck hunting, but residents still enjoy unique private access to Goose Creek by way of our community beach and marinas.

The original flagpole on the beach was the mast from an old sailing ship.

Alas, the elements took their toll over the years. The community replaced that old mast in 1996 and the stars and stripes continue to wave proudly on the beach -- a welcoming sight from land and sea alike.

History of Goose Neck Estates and GNPOA

In 1948, George W. Smith & Sons, longtime Southold builders, bought 25 acres of woodlands and meadows bordering Goose Creek. Smith & Sons developed 133 lots.

The builder offered 3 free parcels (the beach and 2 marinas) if the new owners agreed to form a home owners association and accept the parcels in the name of that association.

In 1961, Goose Neck Property Owner's Association was incorporated. Newly elected President Arthur O'Neil III convened the first membership meeting on our beautiful beach that same year.
